My name is Marsha McDonald and I am a Licensed Clinical Social Worker in the State of New York. I received my undergraduate degree from York College and my graduate degrees in Social Work and Childhood Special Education from Adelphi University.

I knew in my early teens I wanted to service others after witnessing how quickly things can alter in one’s life due to circumstances beyond their control. The dynamics of a family can change in an instant when dealing with grief and loss.

Life challenges can leave you feeling physically, mentally, and emotionally scarred. With support from friends and family and understanding the power of compassion and empathy, I have learned how vital these factors play into a person’s journey towards healing. These early experiences have allowed me to connect with a diverse range of people and led me to the profession I am in today.

Witnessing and experiencing healthy relationships where people genuinely accept you without judgement is a remarkable feeling. I am deeply inspired by people’s inner strength and their capacity to overcome life obstacles.

During sessions, I want to provide a safe place for women to be heard, valued, and supported. Being a therapist allows me to center my engagements and conversations around empathy and compassion, while keeping my clients accountable, empowered, and inspired to live a well-balanced, authentic life.
